A pair of identical antique Japanese late Meiji era sphere shaped enamel over brass vases with narrow necks. The exterior of the vases are enameled with polychrome images of flowers and butterflies, surrounded by foliage and scrollwork patterns, made in the Cloisonne technique. The bases and the necks are enameled with polychrome circular, and swirl ornaments made in the same technique. Circa: early 20th century. Unmarked.
