A lot of Civil War era US fractional currency. Two 10 Cents banknotes, Fifth issue, Fr.1265, with red seals, the bust of William Meredith is featured on the obverse. 10 Cents banknote, Third issue, Fr.1254, with green reverse, with George Washington on the obverse. 15 Cents banknote, Fourth issue, Fr.1268, with large red seal, Bust of Columbia on the obverse. Two 5 Cents banknotes, Third issue, Fr.1238, with green reverse, bust of Spencer Clark on the obverse. Fractional currency, also referred to as shinplasters, was introduced by the US federal government due to the coin shortage during the Civil War.
