An antique Japanese Meiji era covered amphora shaped enamel over brass urn vase. The exterior of the vase is adorned with polychrome enameled continuous design of overlapping stylized floral roundels, scrolling vines, and butterflies scattered over differently colored alternating vertical panels, made in the Cloisonne technique. The domed cover decorated with repeating stylized floral motifs and surmounted by a finial with an image of a chrysanthemum bud. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Unmarked.
