The hand-painted rectangular plaque represents a Biblical plot from Luke 2:41–51, Jesus Child disputing with the Doctors of Law in the Temple. After an original 1880s painting titled Child Jesus in the Temple by Heinrich Hoffman, 1824 to 1911, a German artist known for his Life of Jesus series. Embossed hallmark KPM, 18 12 mark are on the backside.
