An Ancient Roman Imperial gold coin, solidus. Ca. 4th century AD. The obverse depicts a profile of Saint Helena with inscription HELENA AVGVSTA. The reverse presents a draped securitas with inscription SECVRITAS REIPVBLICE, SMANT. Weight: 7 grams. Helena was the first mother of Constantine the Great and a Christian saint credited with bringing Christian relics from Jerusalem to Constantinople.
