An antique French H. B. and Cie gilt copper and painted earthenware dish. The ware is made in the Chinoiserie manner. The exterior of the dish is adorned with relief floral and foliage motifs, decorated with a figural gilt blossoming sakura branch, and scalloped rims made in an openwork scrollwork design. Completed with a stand with three figural legs. The legs are made in a shape of heads of elephants, engraved with detailed patterns. Marked, H.B. and Cie, Choisy, and numbered, 1078, on the bottom.
