An antique etching showing an Attic amphora attributed to the Pig painter, an Athenian red figure vase painter whose name is unknown. Depicts a bearded man and hetaira. The man stands on the left, wearing an himation and a filet with an upright piece over the forehead, his left resting on staff, right holding the purse. The hetaira reaches out her right hand for the purse, she wears chiton, himation, earrings, necklace, and a saccos, which stands out at the back and allows the hair to escape in front of the ears. This plate is taken from the edition titled Picturae Etruscorum in vasculis by Giovanni Battista Passeri and published in Rome in 1767. Matted and framed.
