Contemporary sculpture of a human head. Signed at bottom and attributed to Shiro Sato Ceramic Studio, an artist based in Kyoto active in the decades of 1960s to 1980s. Small size, glazed stoneware figurine in a raw brutalist style. The artist had a series of works inspired by visits and years of study abroad in Europe, mostly in Rome. The present lot is a piece dated circa 1970 and inspired by the Parco Dei Mostri, Bomarzo, Viterbo in Italy. Weight: 253 grams. Collectible Art Pottery And Decor.
