An ancient Western Europe Merovingian Dynasty glass vase. Circa: 7th century CE. A free blown glass vase with a globular shaped body and a narrow neck, boasting aqua hues and areas of translucency and bubble. The Romans introduced glass blowing to many cultures, including the Merovingian Franks. This bowl is a creation by Frankish craftsman using traditional Roman techniques. Museum pieces.
