An antique Russian gilt silver playing card box with a slip-on cover featuring engraved descriptions of the Black Sea Cossack region and the Province of Vaasa in Finland with the enameled coats of arms and images of locals, as well as geographical maps and more climatological and ethnographic information of the districts. With the engraved names of the local cities to both sides of the box. Hallmarked in Cyrillic characters with the Grachev company mark and the AF assayers initials with the date 1886 below, as well as 84 silver proof mark.
