A set of antique late 19th-century hand-colored engravings of fine quality. Illustration plates from La Mode Illustree, a major French weekly fashion magazine established in 1860. A total of three prints, 1882 no. 3, 1883 no. 34, 1885 no. 11. Each piece has inscription La Mode Illustree, Bureaux du Journal, 56 Rue Jacob, Paris, Toilettes de Mme Breant-Castel, 6 Rue Gluck in the bottom middle. Design by Anais Toudouze, engraved by CR, Leroy Imp. Paris and Gilquin Imp. Adele-Anais Colin Toudouze, 1822 to 1899, was a prominent French fashion illustrator. White mat, golden frames.
