An antique late 19th-century French glass handled mosque lamp. The clear glass piece is richly decorated with golden and blue enamel ornaments, depictions of Islamic angels, and calligraphical inscription in Arabic. The inscription reads as: Glory To Our Master, The Sultan, The Just Scholar. Signed Brocard Paris 87 on the bottom. Weight: 481 grams. Philippe-Joseph Brocard, 1831 to 1896, was a French glass artist. Oriental Islamic Glassware And Decor, Mamluk Revival.
