An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Persian lacquered wood trinket box with hand-painted decor. Late Qajar dynasty, before 1925. Hexagonal shape. The sides of the box depict animals and grass. The lid represents a man being attacked by a lion. An inscription in Arabic runs along the edges of the box. Hand-signed on the bottom. Weight: 188 grams. Oriental Islamic Decor And Collectibles.
