A traditional African hand carved wood tribal mblo mask of the Baoule people, a Kwa people and one of the largest ethnicities in Ivory Coast. The oval mask features two horns and a sculpture of a bird with a long neck on top. The face depicts a high forehead, narrow pierced eyes, a tiny nose, and a round protruded mouth. Holds with a wavy cut beard. Mblo is a performance category that utilizes face masks in solo dances and skits. These masks resemble refined human faces to portray notable people in the tribe.
