The hinged lid is covered with enamel and skillfully hand painted with a traditional scene depicting people walking on the Naqsh-i Jahan Square. Marked with an 84 silver standard and Persian makers mark. Note: Naqsh-e Jahan Square, translated as Image of the World Square, also known as the Shah Square prior to 1979, is a square situated at the center of Isfahan, Iran.
