Watercolor and ink on paper painting by Robert Andrew Parker, born 1927, an American illustrator and printmaker. The artwork depicts a battle of the Bulgarian and British armies on the seashore. SIgned by the artist and dated July 27, 1955 in the lower right. From the Imaginary War series. The series was published in the Esquire magazine, December 1958, in the article titled August 10, 11, 12, 1913 The Imaginary War of Robert Andrew Parker. The artwork in this lot was reproduced on page 121. Brown mat, golden frame. Postwar American Figurative Graphic Art, Militaria, Antiquarian Collectibles And Illustrations.
