A large amphora shaped Japanese ceramic vase. The vase is covered with glaze in an olive green shade and adorned with a crackled design. The ware is made in the manner of Lea Halpern, Dutch, American, 1901 to 1985. Lea Halpern was known as the van Gogh of potters, she experimented with glazes, special effects, and innovative pigments.
