Lot 0260: RUSSIAN SOVIET ERA PALEKH PORCELAIN PLATES SIGNED

A pair of identical Russian late Soviet Era porcelain cabinet plates by the Vinogradovsky porcelain factory. The plate is painted with a scene inspired by the Russian tale titled Ruslan and Ludmila by Alexander Pushkin. Palekh style painting depicting a man on horseback in front of a Kremlin where a young woman is prisoned. Signed by the artist underneath, Gleb Lyubimov. Dated 1988. Hallmark is on the bottom of both items. Plates number SCH2366 and CH887. Each piece comes in a box with a certificate of authenticity. Palekh is one of the largest centers of Russian lacquer art. Collectible Porcelain Decor, Russian Folk Art.
