A large antique Japanese Meiji period enamel plate charger. The plate is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming flowers and plants surrounded by frame with butterfly, floral, foliage and geometrical motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside is adorned with a relief scaly motif made in the Cloisonne technique. The plate is adorned with scalloped rims. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
