Alfred Pollentine was a British painter of English and Italian landscapes, but his career was defined by magnificent views of Venice. Alfred Pollentine moved from London to Italy in the mid 19th century from where he became one of the most prolific and popular English veduta painters of 19th century Venice. Between 1861 and 1880 Pollentine exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Society of British Artists in London. One of a kind artwork.
