An early to mid 20th-century English gilt sterling silver cutlery set. A total of 6 dessert spoons, a pair of sugar tongs and a napkin ring. The spoon bowls have embossed shell design. The handles are set with polished onyx stones. The napkin ring has a pierced ornamental design. Birmingham assay mark, lion passant guardant or Britannia, S Ld hallmark are on the necks of the handles. Letter P for the year 1914 on the spoons, letter Q for 1940 on the sugar tongs, letter N for 1937 on the napkin ring. S Ld stands for William Suckling Ltd. Total Weight: 65 grams.
