An oil on board painting, Pogo the Clown, 1985, by John Wayne Gacy, American, 1942 to 1994. Signed by the artist and dated on the lower left. Comes with a letter written by John Wayne Gacy to Leo Dymowski who was a Libertarian candidate for Attorney General of Maryland in the 2014 elections. Note: John Wayne Gacy, Jr. was an American serial killer also known as the Killer Clown who committed the rape and murder of 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978. Gacy became known as the Killer Clown due to his charitable services at fundraising events, parades and children's parties where he would dress as Pogo the Clown, a character he devised himself. In prison at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois, he did many paintings, many of which were clowns, which he signed Emmit. One of a kind artwork. American Fine Art For Collectors.
