Oil on board painting by Gertrude Abercrombie, 1909 to 1977, was an American painter based in Chicago famous for her bohemian lifestyle. The artwork represents a Surrealist composition with a house, a tree, and the moon. Signed by the artist and dated 1946 in the lower left. The Chicago Reservation Center label is on the backside. The lot also features a brochure of Abercrombies personal exhibition at the Illinois State Museum, 1991. Ornate golden frame. Collectible Postwar American Figurative Fine Art.
