A Russian Imperial Navy gilt Silver and enamel cigar case with a clasp. The exterior of the case is covered with a Guilloche enamel in a light green shade. The front side is adorned with overlays made in scrollwork and mesh design and encrusted with diamonds, and an overlay depicting an Imperial monogram showing a letter K and an anchor, probably a monogram of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich, 1876 to 1938, encrusted with Amethyst and Ruby stones. The backside features an Imperial monogram, MF, and is encrusted with marcasite stones. The borders are adorned with an etched foliage motif. A gilt wash interior. Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich was the second son of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, the third son of Emperor Alexander II, and Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna; cousin of Nicholas II. Since 1892, Kirill Vladimirovich devoted himself to maritime affairs, participated, and was wounded in the battles of Port Arthur. His merits were outstanding contemporaries.
