An ancient Eastern Roman Empire Theodosius II gold solidus coin. The obverse features the bust of Theodosius facing, helmeted, cuirassed, holding spear with right hand over right shoulder and on left shoulder a shield decorated with a horseman riding down enemy. The reverse shows Constantinopolis helmeted, enthroned facing, head right, holding scepter with right hand and with left hand turned upwards a small winged Victory on globe itself holding wreath in right hand, right foot on prow left; in left field, a star. Made in Constantinople, circa from 408 to 420. Weight: 4.39 g. Ancient Byzantine Gold Coins And Numismatic Collectibles.
