The letter opener is made of a hand carved Nephrite Jade blade decorated with laurel wreath and ribbons to the ricasso on the both sides, encrusted with Ruby stones. The handle features an Imperial double headed eagle image on a red Guilloche enamel ground, encrusted with a Ruby stone. A figural finial is made in a shape of an Imperial double headed eagle with a crown on a top, adorned with a monogram on the backside, and an image of an anchor, encrusted with Marcasite stones, on the front. The ware is encrusted with Marcasite stones. Presented in a box with a clasp. Marked with a Silver standard hallmark, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. Total weight: 94 g.
