The platter is adorned with a gilded scalloped rim, and a figural handle made in a shape of a leaf. Marked with a blue ink mark, A2002, and numbered, 650, on the backside. Many connoisseurs consider this pattern, first created in 1860 for the Rothschild family of Europe, to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
