A nice late Victorian decorative sword featuring a traditionally wire-wrapped bronze grip with a round pommel set with a cracked red stone. The bronze crossed guard is beautifully ornate with griffin heads featuring traces of gilding and set with stones of various colors. The steel blade is engraved: Montella Carmine 1897.
