Presumably by Yoshu Chikanobu, 1838 to 1912, a prominent Japanese ukiyo-e artist and printmaker of the Utagawa school. Kabuki is a classical form of Japanese theatre, mixing dramatic performance with traditional dance that originated during the early Edo period.
