An ancient bronze sword from the Near East region, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. This is a very long, cast bronze sword with fantastic pommel modeled as a naturalistic double horse hooves. This sword was made from lost wax casting. Features a long, tapering doubled edged blade. The horse hooves motif speaks to the importance of horses in Luristan society.
