A rare antique Japanese Meiji era enamel vase. The vase has a globular shaped body and a long neck. The exterior of the vase is adorned with medallions with an image of a Egyptian figure, and an image of a Phoenix bird surrounded by floral, foliage and scrollwork motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck is decorated with a wavy swirl pattern made in the Cloisonne technique. The ground of the vase is inlaid with Gold stones. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
