Ancient Greek Hellenistic piece from Ptolemaic Egypt. Standing Female Figure representing Goddess Aphrodite aka Venus dating Circa the 1st century A.D. Reddish to brown molded pottery standing armless female figure wearing an off the shoulder, two-piece drapery garment, tied at her waist with a long tassel down the front. A few remaining traces of pigment surface pigment. Restored, head reattached. The base of white marble from Tarentum, Magna Graecia. Provenance: Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Feuer, NY.
