An American lithographic poster, New York Worlds Fair 1965 to 1965, created by Bob Robert Peak, 1927 to 1992. It was commissioned for the opening of the New York Worlds Fair in Flushing , New York. This poster is linen backed. Signed in the print lower left. Titled in the print upper right. Marked in the print, Local Number 1 Union Label Amalgamated Lithographers of America, New York, Litho in U. S. A. marks, lower left. Marked with a Unisphere Presented by USS mark, and a copyright 1961, 1962 New York Worlds Fair 1964 to 1965 Corporation, lower right. Bob Peak is an American artist, known for Magazine and poster illustrator, portrait and landscape painter. Considered the father of the contemporary movie poster, Bob Peak likely transformed the approach to movie advertising from basic collages of film stills or head shots to flamboyant artistic illustrations.
