A Polish Karabela sword known as a Black Saber, features the characteristic form hilt with hand forged chain cross guard, and wooden grip with a steel pommel. The curved steel blade has a narrow double fuller. Marked on the ricasso with three six-pointed stars and an engraved image of an eagle's head, and with the initials J.M. on the other side.
