A World War II color map of military operations of the US Army. Titled XIX Corps in Action, From D-Day, 6 June 1944, to Germany. Drawn by T5 Henry J. MacMillan, published in October 1944. Black mat, black frame. Following the end of World War II, many military units issued decorative maps of their areas of operation intended to commemorate their service. The rarity of this lot is that it was created while the unit was still engaged in battle. XIX Corps was a part of the Ninth US army, established in July 1942.
