An antique late 19th-century English majolica tankard jug. Light blue body color with pastel floral ornaments. The panels on the body depict a fox and a dog. The lid is topped with a wolf figurine. Hand-painted model number 2228, English diamond registration mark for the year 1872, and George Jones hallmark are on the bottom of the piece. George Jones was a prominent manufacturer of earthenware, majolica and china ware at Stoke-on-Trent, England.
