The blades of the pieces are gilt and garnished with engraved decoration. The embossed handles feature an engraved Reichsmarschall Hermann Goerings family crest, a shield with a mailled arm holding a ring. The pieces are marked on the blades. The set comes in original Romanet store box, Chalons-sur-Saone, France. Hermann Wilhelm Goering, 1893 to 1946, was a German politician and leader of the Nazi Party, a patron of arts and culture.
