A World War II Nazi German TeNo enlisted mans hewer or dagger. The stainless steel blade bears hallmarks Ges. Gesch., Original Eickhorn Solingen. Off-white wooden grip. Black leather scabbard. The scabbard fittings, pommel and crossguard are nickel-plated. The guard is decorated with an eagle with swastika superimposed with a TeNo emblem. A relief gear wheel garnishes the pommel. TeNo, short for Technische Nothilfe or Technical Help in Need, was a German organisation of the Freikorps or Free Corps with the stated purpose to protect and maintain vital and strategic facilities.
