Lot 0199: RUSSIAN 84 SILVER AND NIELLO ENGRAVED CIGAR CASE

A Russian niello 84 Silver cigar case. The rectangular shaped case is engraved and nielloed with floral and scrollwork patterns on both sides. Th front is applied with the relief image of the monument to Minin and Pozharsky. The sides and hinged covers on either side nielloed with strapwork and geometric pattern. A gilt wash interior. Marked with a standard Russian silver hallmark, a Cyrillic makers mark Ya. V., Assaymaster Andrei Kovalski Moscow, 1851 marks. Completed with a certificate. Weight: 217 g.
