An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon representing the Position of the Honorable Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Cincture of Theotokos. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Each character is named in Church Slavonic.
