An antique French Sevres porcelain lidded vase featuring a black ground and gilt bronze mounts of two siren figures seated on cushions and linked with a pair of garlands. The vase is fitted into a cup on a round base raised to four feet. The lid has a pointed cone shaped handle. Designed by Louis Simon Boizot, 1743 to 1809, a French sculptor whose models for biscuit figures for Sevres porcelain are better-known than his large scale sculptures. Circa the late 18th century.
