Ary Jean Leon Bitter, French, 1883 to 1973, bronze sculpture Chloe, in the Arcadian Art Deco style. The sculpture depicts a figure of a reclining nymph with a trusting fawn at her feet. Covered with a deep dark brown patina. Raised on a dark green marble base. Signed and bears an artists name metal plaque attached to the base. note: Bitter studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, was a student of Jules Coutane and received many high awards. From 1910, his figures were often exhibited at the Salons, in 1925 at the famous International Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts and in 1937 at the World Exhibition in Paris.
