An extremely rare Russian hunting flintlock pistol with removable stock. The barrel is made of Damascus steel with a clearly visible geometrical pattern. The barrel is decorated at the breech with a gold inlay Russian inscription: "IVAN PUSHKIN" for the gunsmith. The lock bears the Russian inscription of "St. Petersburg" executed with gold inlay. The flintlock is slightly pitted and may require a light cleaning. The action is good. The spring is strong. The stock is carved of walnut. It shows a few minor cracks due to age. The furniture is made of polished brass. The original ramrod with a brass tip is present. The gun was probably made for the Russian nobility at the end of the 18th century.
