An antique 19th-century Swedish Navy officer's two-handed sword. 1824 model. The dolphin-style handle is gilt and has an inserted hand-carved of natural materials and a protective knuckle bow. The crosspiece is garnished with an anchor. The steel blade is partly colored blue and has a gilt hand-painted monogram of Charles XIV John, King of Sweden and Norway from 1818 until 1844, as well as the emblem of the Swedish Kingdom.
