An antique early 20th-century gilt brass trinket box with a key lock. The item is footed and has an elongated shape. The box is richly decorated with Neoclassical ornamental metalwork. The hinged lid is garnished with mother-of-pearl inlay and a central hand-painted oval panel depicting two maids in the house courtyard. The inside of the box is lined with patterned fabric.
