Antique Viennese cold-painted cast bronze figurine. The figurine depicts an Arab boy praying on his knees, made in the manner of Franz Xavier Bergman, Austrian, 1861 to 1936. The figurine is adorned with gilding. Unmarked. Franz Xavier Bergman was the owner of a Viennese foundry that produced numerous patinated and cold painted bronzes, Oriental, erotic, and animal figures, the latter often humanized or whimsical, humorous objects dart.
