An antique Japanese Meiji era tripod and covered enamel gilt metal ginger jar. The jar is enameled with polychrome images of a Phoenix bird, butterflies and blossoming flowers and foliage motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The ground is inlaid with a Gold stone. The neck is adorned with floral and geometrical patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
