The Mother of God is depicted with her head bowed to the Child. The Christ Child is shown from the front, the right hand is extended in a blessing gesture with two fingers. The back of the board is lined with a blue velvet. Marked with an 84 Imperial Russian silver standard. George the Victorious for Moscow, an assay mark of Andrey Antonovich Kovalsky dated 1856, and the Cyrillic makers mark: FS.
