An antique Japanese Ando Jubei cloisonne vase from the Meiji period featuring an elegant form with high shoulders and a deep saturated light brown color enamel. Decorated with a floral and foliate rose image and a butterfly to the body. A rim and base are finished in brass silver metal. Marked with the impressed logo on the bottom. Circa the early 20th century. Ando Jubei, 1876 to 1953, was one of the most important cloisonne artists in Japan and was highly acclaimed for his artistry and refined work.
