A set of two Nazi German crosses. The first: the Iron cross is enameled and engraved with detailed patterns, a swastika insignia to the center, and engraved with a date 1939, lower to the center on the front, and a 1813 date on the backside. The Iron Cross was a military decoration in the Kingdom of Prussia, and later in the German Empire 1871 to 1918 and Nazi Germany 1933 to 1945. King Frederick William III of Prussia established it on 17 March 1813 during the Napoleonic Wars EK 1813. The second: a 1914 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, enameled and engraved with detailed patterns, a crown upper to the center, a W letter to the center, and engraved with a date 1914, lower to the center on the front. One is marked with a Munchen 9 mark, on the backside. The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross was a decoration intended for victorious generals of the Prussian Army and its allies. It was the second highest class of the Iron Cross, following the Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded only twice. Along with the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, the Grand Cross was founded on 10 March 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars.
